The Truman in Washington Program
Washington, DC, is a beautiful and fascinating city to live and work in. If you would like to eventually work in Washington, an internship is an excellent way to start a career there. Through the Truman in Washington Program (TWP), Truman State University offers a variety of programs for students interested in an internship in the Washington, DC, area.
There are three ways to intern in DC:
- You can intern for credit through The Washington Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to internships.
- You can intern for credit through your academic department.
- You can intern for no credit at all. No matter how you intern in DC, the TWP helps students locate internships and housing in the DC area and provides students with support throughout their internship experience.
If you are interested in interning through The Washington Center, the deadline to apply for the Washington Center’s Summer 2024 session is February 14, 2024. Click on the “Apply Now” link for information on how to apply.
