Steps for Pursuing an Internship for Departmental Credit
1. Check with your advisor to find out if your department offers credit for internships and departmental procedures. Determine how your internship for credit could fit into your overall degree plan, especially in your major.
2. Check the Truman catalog for courses at the 400 level in your department that are titled "Internship" and "Internship Evaluation." You must receive credit through both of them.
3. Find out if there is an intern coordinator for your department. If so, talk with them more extensively about the application process. If not, you must do the leg work. Follow the internship search of a not for credit internship.
